No. You can start using the app right after downloading it — no sign-up, no login. Your wishes, progress, and journal entries are stored in your own iCloud account, which is what keeps them in sync across your devices.
Once you create a shared list, you can invite family or friends with a link or a QR code. Only the people you invite can see that list — your other lists stay private. You can stop sharing anytime from the Collaboration tab. Note that the invite link itself acts as the access key: anyone with the link can join and edit, and it can't be password-protected — the same approach Apple Notes and Reminders use for their link sharing.
Yes, but only to your own iCloud account, not to a server we run — we don't operate a server, can't see your data, and don't do ad tracking. See our Privacy Policy for details.
In the current version, photos stay on the device that took them and are not shared with other people on a shared list, while text content (wishes, prep steps, journal entries) does sync. This is the current behavior; photo syncing may be added in a future update, and we'll note it here if it changes.
Check out the Explore tab — it has 127 curated ideas filtered by age, energy level, and budget, spanning travel, learning, physical challenges, creativity, relationships, service, and lifestyle, each with a ready-made checklist.
Your data stays in your iCloud account and comes back when you reinstall the app. If you'd like a backup that's readable without the app, go to Settings → Data & Privacy and export your data as Markdown and ordinary image files.
